तपस्विभ्योऽधिको योगी ज्ञानिभ्योऽपि मतोऽधिकः। कर्मिभ्यश्चाधिको योगी तस्माद्योगी भवार्जुन॥
tapasvibhyo 'dhiko yogī jñānibhyo 'pi mato 'dhikaḥ karmibhyaśh chādhiko yogī tasmād yogī bhavārjuna
Meaning
The yogi is greater than the ascetic, greater even than the scholar, and greater than the ritualist. Therefore, O Arjuna, be a yogi.
Krishna ranks the yogi above other spiritual practitioners. Ascetics may have discipline, scholars may have knowledge, ritualists may have dedication — but the yogi integrates all these with direct inner experience. The instruction is clear and personal: 'Be a yogi.' This is Krishna's direct guidance to Arjuna and to us.
Strength Reflection
"I aspire to be a yogi, integrating discipline, knowledge, and action with inner realization."
Devotional Surrender
O Lord, I hear Your instruction: 'Be a yogi.' Help me to fulfill this sacred direction.
