Chapter 6 • Verse 22

यं लब्ध्वा चापरं लाभं मन्यते नाधिकं ततः। यस्मिन्स्थितो न दुःखेन गुरुणापि विचाल्यते॥

yaṁ labdhvā chāparaṁ lābhaṁ manyate nādhikaṁ tataḥ yasmin sthito na duḥkhena guruṇāpi vichālyate

Meaning

Having gained this, one considers no other gain to be greater. Established in this state, one is not shaken even by the heaviest sorrow.

Self-realization is the ultimate attainment — nothing compares. This isn't arrogance but simple truth: what could be greater than knowing your infinite nature? And this knowledge provides an anchor that holds even in life's worst storms. The realized person faces tragedy with equanimity, not because they don't feel, but because they're grounded in something unshakeable.

Strength Reflection

"I seek that highest gain which makes all other gains secondary and provides unshakeable peace."

Devotional Surrender

Lord, establish me in the truth that cannot be shaken by any sorrow this world may bring.
