Chapter 18 • Verse 60
स्वभावजेन कौन्तेय निबद्धः स्वेन कर्मणा। कर्तुं नेच्छसि यन्मोहात्करिष्यस्यवशोऽपि तत्॥
svabhāva-jena kaunteya nibaddhaḥ svena karmaṇā kartuṁ nechchhasi yan mohāt kariṣhyasy avaśho 'pi tat
Meaning
Bound by your own karma born of your nature, O son of Kunti, what you wish not to do through delusion — you will do even helplessly.
Bound by your nature and karma, what you deludedly refuse, you will do helplessly. Fighting against one's nature is futile. Better to embrace it consciously and offer it to God.
