Chapter 18 • Verse 52

विविक्तसेवी लघ्वाशी यतवाक्कायमानसः। ध्यानयोगपरो नित्यं वैराग्यं समुपाश्रितः॥

vivikta-sevī laghv-āśhī yata-vāk-kāya-mānasaḥ dhyāna-yoga-paro nityaṁ vairāgyaṁ samupāśhritaḥ

Meaning

...dwelling in solitude, eating lightly, controlling speech, body, and mind, constantly devoted to meditation and yoga, taking refuge in dispassion...

More requirements: solitude for contemplation, moderate eating, control of speech-body-mind, constant meditation practice, and firm dispassion. These disciplines prepare for liberation.
