Chapter 17 • Verse 25
तदित्यनभिसंधाय फलं यज्ञतपःक्रियाः। दानक्रियाश्च विविधाः क्रियन्ते मोक्षकाङ्क्षिभिः॥
tad ity anabhisandhāya phalaṁ yajña-tapaḥ-kriyāḥ dāna-kriyāśh cha vividhāḥ kriyante mokṣha-kāṅkṣhibhiḥ
Meaning
Without desire for fruit, acts of sacrifice, austerity, and various acts of charity are performed by those seeking liberation with the word 'Tat.'
Liberation-seekers perform worship, discipline, and charity with 'Tat' (That) — acknowledging these acts belong to the Absolute, not to the ego. 'Tat' removes the sense of personal doership and ownership.
Strength Reflection
"I dedicate my actions with 'Tat,' recognizing they belong to the Absolute."
Devotional Surrender
O Lord, all my actions are 'Tat' — Yours, not mine.
