Chapter 15 • Verse 7
ममैवांशो जीवलोके जीवभूतः सनातनः। मनःषष्ठानीन्द्रियाणि प्रकृतिस्थानि कर्षति॥
mamaivānśho jīva-loke jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ manaḥ-ṣhaṣhṭhānīndriyāṇi prakṛiti-sthāni karṣhati
Meaning
An eternal fragment of Myself, having become a living soul in the world of life, draws to itself the mind and the five senses which rest in Prakriti.
Every soul is an eternal fragment of God. When the soul enters material existence, it attracts a mind and five senses. This creates the body-mind complex. We are divine sparks temporarily clothed in matter.

O Lord, I am Your eternal part. Help me remember my divine origin.
