रजो रागात्मकं विद्धि तृष्णासङ्गसमुद्भवम्। तन्निबध्नाति कौन्तेय कर्मसङ्गेन देहिनम्॥
rajo rāgātmakaṁ viddhi tṛiṣhṇā-saṅga-samudbhavam tan nibadhnāti kaunteya karma-saṅgena dehinam
Meaning
Know rajas to be of the nature of passion, arising from craving and attachment. It binds the embodied soul through attachment to action, O son of Kunti.
Rajas is passion, desire, craving. It creates restlessness and constant activity. It binds through attachment to work and its fruits. The rajasic person is never satisfied, always wanting more, doing more.
Strength Reflection
"Rajas binds me through restless craving and attachment to action's fruits."
Devotional Surrender
O Lord, calm my rajas. Let me act without craving or attachment.
