Chapter 11 • Verse 37

कस्माच्च ते न नमेरन्महात्मन्गरीयसे ब्रह्मणोऽप्यादिकर्त्रे। अनन्त देवेश जगन्निवास त्वमक्षरं सदसत्तत्परं यत्॥

kasmāch cha te na nameran mahātman garīyase brahmaṇo 'py ādi-kartre ananta deveśha jagan-nivāsa tvam akṣharaṁ sad-asat tat paraṁ yat

Meaning

And why should they not bow to You, O great Soul — greater than Brahma, original creator, infinite, Lord of gods, abode of the universe? You are the imperishable, being and non-being, and that which is beyond both.

Why wouldn't everyone bow? You are greater than Brahma himself, the original creator, infinite, lord of gods, home of the universe, the imperishable, existence and non-existence and what transcends both. Every reason supports devotion.

O infinite Lord, greater than all, I bow to You who transcend being and non-being.
