Chapter 11 • Verse 29

यथा प्रदीप्तं ज्वलनं पतङ्गा विशन्ति नाशाय समृद्धवेगाः। तथैव नाशाय विशन्ति लोकास्तवापि वक्त्राणि समृद्धवेगाः॥

yathā pradīptaṁ jvalanaṁ pataṅgā viśhanti nāśhāya samṛiddha-vegāḥ tathaiva nāśhāya viśhanti lokās tavāpi vaktrāṇi samṛiddha-vegāḥ

Meaning

As moths rush into a blazing fire for their destruction, so do all creatures rush into Your mouths at full speed for their destruction.

Another terrifying image: moths drawn to flame rush to their death. Similarly, beings rush into Krishna's mouths with full velocity toward destruction. The attraction of time-death is irresistible. All lives end; this vision shows the mechanism.

Strength Reflection

"All beings rush toward their end — this truth, though harsh, is liberating."

Devotional Surrender

O Lord, like moths to flame, all rush to You. Let my rushing be conscious.
