Chapter 11 • Verse 12
दिवि सूर्यसहस्रस्य भवेद्युगपदुत्थिता। यदि भाः सदृशी सा स्याद्भासस्तस्य महात्मनः॥
divi sūrya-sahasrasya bhaved yugapad utthitā yadi bhāḥ sadṛiśhī sā syād bhāsas tasya mahātmanaḥ
Meaning
If a thousand suns were to rise together in the sky, such splendor might resemble the radiance of that great being.
The famous 'thousand suns' verse: imagine a thousand suns rising simultaneously — perhaps this might approximate the brilliance of the cosmic form. But even this analogy falls short. Language strains to describe the indescribable.
Strength Reflection
"Divine radiance exceeds a thousand suns — inconceivable light is my true nature's source."
Devotional Surrender
O Lord of inconceivable radiance, brighter than a thousand suns, shine within me.
