Chapter 10 • Verse 5
अहिंसा समता तुष्टिस्तपो दानं यशोऽयशः। भवन्ति भावा भूतानां मत्त एव पृथग्विधाः॥
ahinsā samatā tuṣhṭis tapo dānaṁ yaśho 'yaśhaḥ bhavanti bhāvā bhūtānāṁ matta eva pṛithag-vidhāḥ
Meaning
Non-violence, equanimity, contentment, austerity, charity, fame, and infamy — all these various states of beings arise from Me alone.
The list continues: non-violence, equanimity, contentment, discipline, generosity, honor, and dishonor. All the diverse states of all beings come from Krishna. This comprehensive statement means nothing exists separately from the Divine source — even what we label as negative has its origin in Him.
Strength Reflection
"I see the Divine hand behind all the varied states of existence."
Devotional Surrender
O Lord, every quality in creation comes from You. Help me see You in all.
