Chapter 10 • Verse 21
आदित्यानामहं विष्णुर्ज्योतिषां रविरंशुमान्। मरीचिर्मरुतामस्मि नक्षत्राणामहं शशी॥
ādityānām ahaṁ viṣhṇur jyotiṣhāṁ ravir anśhumān marīchir marutām asmi nakṣhatrāṇām ahaṁ śhaśhī
Meaning
Among the Adityas, I am Vishnu; among luminaries, the radiant sun; among the Maruts, I am Marichi; among stars, I am the moon.
Krishna is Vishnu among divine beings, the sun among lights, Marichi among wind-gods, the moon among stars. In every category, He is the most excellent. Look at any group — the best represents Him most clearly.
