Chapter 9 • Verse 3
अश्रद्दधानाः पुरुषा धर्मस्यास्य परन्तप। अप्राप्य मां निवर्तन्ते मृत्युसंसारवर्त्मनि॥
aśhraddadhānāḥ puruṣhā dharmasyāsya parantapa aprāpya māṁ nivartante mṛityu-sansāra-vartmani
Meaning
Those who have no faith in this dharma, O Arjuna, without reaching Me, return to the path of death and rebirth.
Faith (shraddha) is essential. Without faith, even the best teaching remains ineffective. Those who dismiss this knowledge continue in the cycle of death and rebirth, missing the chance for liberation. Faith opens the door that knowledge walks through.
