Chapter 8 • Verse 9

कविं पुराणमनुशासितारमणोरणीयांसमनुस्मरेद्यः। सर्वस्य धातारमचिन्त्यरूपमादित्यवर्णं तमसः परस्तात्॥

kaviṁ purāṇam anuśhāsitāram aṇor aṇīyānsam anusmared yaḥ sarvasya dhātāram achintya-rūpam āditya-varṇaṁ tamasaḥ parastāt

Meaning

One should meditate on the Supreme as the omniscient, the ancient, the ruler, subtler than the subtlest, the sustainer of all, of inconceivable form, effulgent like the sun, beyond all darkness.

Krishna describes how to meditate on Him: as all-knowing, eternal, sovereign, infinitely subtle, the foundation of everything, beyond comprehension, radiant beyond measure, and completely beyond ignorance. These attributes shape the meditation, elevating consciousness toward the infinite.

Strength Reflection

"I meditate on the Divine as infinite, radiant, and beyond all limitation."

Devotional Surrender

O Lord of light, beyond all darkness, reveal Your inconceivable form within my heart.
