Chapter 8 • Verse 2
Meaning
Who is the Lord of sacrifice, and how does He dwell in this body, O Madhusudana? And how can You be known at the time of death by those who practice self-control?
Arjuna asks the crucial question: how can one remember God at the moment of death? This reveals that the ultimate test of spiritual practice is what fills our consciousness when everything else fades. The answer lies in lifelong practice and self-discipline.
Strength Reflection
"I prepare for my final moments by living each day with divine remembrance."
Devotional Surrender
Krishna, be so present in my life that You are naturally present in my death.
