Chapter 15 • Verse 14
अहं वैश्वानरो भूत्वा प्राणिनां देहमाश्रितः। प्राणापानसमायुक्तः पचाम्यन्नं चतुर्विधम्॥
ahaṁ vaiśhvānaro bhūtvā prāṇināṁ deham āśhritaḥ prāṇāpāna-samāyuktaḥ pachāmy annaṁ chatur-vidham
Meaning
Becoming the digestive fire (Vaishvanara) in the bodies of living beings, joined with Prana and Apana, I digest the four kinds of food.
God becomes the digestive fire in every body. Working with incoming and outgoing breath (prana and apana), He digests all four types of food (chewed, sucked, licked, and drunk). Digestion is a divine process.
