Chapter 14 • Verse 14
यदा सत्त्वे प्रवृद्धे तु प्रलयं याति देहभृत्। तदोत्तमविदां लोकानमलान्प्रतिपद्यते॥
yadā sattve pravṛiddhe tu pralayaṁ yāti deha-bhṛit tadottama-vidāṁ lokān amalān pratipadyate
Meaning
When the embodied one dies while sattva prevails, then one attains the pure worlds of those who know the highest.
Death during sattvic dominance leads to pure, luminous realms — worlds of the wise and pure. The state at death influences the next destination. Cultivating sattva ensures a better rebirth or liberation.
