लोभः प्रवृत्तिरारम्भः कर्मणामशमः स्पृहा। रजस्येतानि जायन्ते विवृद्धे भरतर्षभ॥
lobhaḥ pravṛittir ārambhaḥ karmaṇām aśhamaḥ spṛihā rajasy etāni jāyante vivṛiddhe bharatarṣhabha
Meaning
Greed, activity, undertaking of actions, restlessness, and craving — these arise when rajas predominates, O best of the Bharatas.
Signs of rajas dominance: greed arises, constant activity drives you, you start new projects compulsively, inner restlessness disturbs peace, desires multiply. Recognizing these symptoms helps you see rajas at work.
