समः शत्रौ च मित्रे च तथा मानापमानयोः। शीतोष्णसुखदुःखेषु समः सङ्गविवर्जितः॥
samaḥ śhatrau cha mitre cha tathā mānāpamānayoḥ śhītoṣhṇa-sukha-duḥkheṣhu samaḥ saṅga-vivarjitaḥ
Meaning
Equal toward friend and foe, in honor and dishonor, in heat and cold, in pleasure and pain, free from attachment...
Equanimity across opposites: friend and enemy, honor and disgrace, heat and cold, pleasure and pain. Free from attachment to any. This describes the mind that has truly transcended the pairs of opposites.
