Chapter 11 • Verse 53
नाहं वेदैर्न तपसा न दानेन न चेज्यया। शक्य एवंविधो द्रष्टुं दृष्टवानसि मां यथा॥
nāhaṁ vedair na tapasā na dānena na chejyayā śhakya evaṁ-vidho draṣhṭuṁ dṛiṣhṭavān asi māṁ yathā
Meaning
Not by the Vedas, not by austerity, not by charity, not by sacrifice, can I be seen as you have seen Me.
Reiteration: no Vedas, no austerity, no charity, no sacrifice can produce this vision. What you saw, Arjuna, cannot be achieved through standard spiritual practices. Something beyond method is required — pure divine grace responding to pure devotion.
