Chapter 10 • Verse 30
प्रह्लादश्चास्मि दैत्यानां कालः कलयतामहम्। मृगाणां च मृगेन्द्रोऽहं वैनतेयश्च पक्षिणाम्॥
prahlādaśh chāsmi daityānāṁ kālaḥ kalayatām aham mṛigāṇāṁ cha mṛigendro 'haṁ vainateyaśh cha pakṣhiṇām
Meaning
Of the demons, I am Prahlada; of measurers, I am time; of animals, I am the lion; and of birds, I am Garuda.
Even among demons, Krishna is the devotee Prahlada who defied his demonic father for God. Among measures, time that measures all. Among animals, the king lion; among birds, Garuda Vishnu's mount. Devotion triumphs even in demonic realms; time marks all; nobility manifests everywhere.
Strength Reflection
"Even in hostile circumstances, devotion can flourish as the Divine manifestation."
Devotional Surrender
Lord, like Prahlada, may I find You even in demonic surroundings.
