Chapter 10 • Verse 2

न मे विदुः सुरगणाः प्रभवं न महर्षयः। अहमादिर्हि देवानां महर्षीणां च सर्वशः॥

na me viduḥ sura-gaṇāḥ prabhavaṁ na maharṣhayaḥ aham ādir hi devānāṁ maharṣhīṇāṁ cha sarvaśhaḥ

Meaning

Neither the hosts of gods nor the great sages know My origin, for I am the source of all the gods and great sages in every way.

Even celestial beings and realized sages don't fully comprehend Krishna's origin — because He is their origin. The created cannot fully comprehend the Creator. This should humble us: the Divine always exceeds our understanding. Yet this mystery invites endless exploration.
